Smoking is not only unhealthy for your respiratory system and the main cause is lung cancer. It can also seriously affect your oral health. It can result in xerostomia, which the reduction of saliva flow, increasing the risk of tooth decay, and depleting enzymes for proper digestion. It also stains the teeth, causes bad breath and loss of taste. Also, it reduces the blood flow to the gums, leading to gum disease and tooth loss, among others.
