Dealing With Sensitive Teeth

Dealing With Sensitive Teeth

It May Be Caused By Worn Enamel, Tooth Decay, And Excess Grinding

Tooth sensitivity occurs when the enamel is worn down. This exposes the inner layer, called dentin, which contains tubules. The fluid movement inside these tubules stimulates the nerves, which results in pain response. However, the most common cause is gum recession, in which the tooth’s root becomes exposed, increasing sensitivity. Other causes are toothbrush abrasion, tooth decay, and excessive grinding, among others. More Information click here.
