Negative symptoms and noesis ‘relatively independent’ in schizophrenia

Despite this crossing-sectional correlation, but, Diamond state and cognitive function followed different longitudinal paths, suggesting that the two measures are relatively independent domains of dementia praecox.


flank Chung Chang (The University of Hong Kong, Communist people's Republic of people's Republic of PRC) and team studied 93 people aged 18 to 55 years who presented with a first episode of dementia praecox, schizophreniform disorder, or schizoaffective disorder. All participants were assessed at baseline and during 3 years of follow-up.


The participants’ hateful age at baseline was 31.2 years, 45.2% were virile, and the median duration of untreated psychosis was clxxx days.
